Rod has successfully completed the Refugee Ration Challenge!
The photo attached illustrates the amount of food he has survived on in the last week. It was not only a small amount of food but also a small selection of basic food which consisted mainly of rice, flour, oil, lentils, chickpeas, sardines and red kidney beans. He was allowed one tea bag a day and water to drink. As someone who works long hours and some of those during the night, he had to adjust to surviving without coffee or diet coke.
Rod is looking a little tired and has lost a couple of kilos in the process.
It was a humbling exercise and a good reminder of how fortunate we are.
We wanted to thank everyone who so generously supported Rod in his challenge, he was able to reach his goal of donating over $500 to the Act for Peace cause.
